Robert Biswas-Diener, Dr. Philos.
Robert Biswas-Diener has a reputation in the world of positive psychology as being a researcher who is able to collect hard-to-get data. As the "Indiana Jones of positive psychology," Robert's studies have taken him to such far flung destinations as Greenland, Spain, Kenya, Israel, and India, where he has worked with remote groups of people traditionally overlooked by researchers.
"When I tell people my job is traveling the world and studying happiness, it tends to raise a few eyebrows! But even better than being a psychologist who gets to go to far off places is being able to share my experiences with other people. I have always been excited by the prospect of translating my expertise about positivity into practical tools people can use to be more productive and live the lives they want."
Robert is a subjective well-being researcher who has published dozens of articles on happiness, empathy, and character strengths in prestigious psychological journals.

Cecilia Mikalac, MD
Cecilia Mikalac is a psychiatrist with a full time practice in Massachusetts, a member of the Ethics Committee of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society, and the author of Managing Money in Outpatient Psychiatry: Practice guidelines from accounting to ethics.
"I'm interested in both the logistics and ethics of money. I struggled with the former when starting my practice, talking to many other practitioners, some of whom were reluctant to share their experiences and current practices. I resolved that others should not have to hunt for information the way I did so I began teaching money courses at the APA (American Psychiatric Association) annual meeting, which later led to the book. The fact that practitioners are paid compels sound financial management while the fiduciary and transference aspects of treatment compel incorporation of ethical guidelines into fiscal practice. Ethics becomes not a theoretical concept but one we use every day. I hope others take up the call to teach, write and talk about ethics and money whenever they can. In this way managing money in practice will become demystified and clarity will reign."
